The future EU Food Information regulation will be jointly decided by the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers.

Late March 2009 the committee on ‘Environment, Public Health and Food Safety’ (the ENVI committee) will vote on amendments the proposal. Find each ENVI-members contact information (e-mail, phone or web-site) on the this list of ENVI-members. Please write, phone or meet with them and let them know what you think of GDA. Contact your minister
It is equally important that the national ministers of food and agriculture are informed about the insolvable GDA problems. Please find the name and contact details of your relevant minister here. You may want to use the petition letter or even better phone or meet with your minister. Find handouts and slides on this website.

The food industry
If you are a retailer: Tell the food companies that deliver to you that you don’t want GDA in your stores. This is a draft letter you can use.

Please also consider activating your national public health people, nutrition society, consumer organizations and health NGO’s.
